The Supervisors of Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at a meeting to be held on the 23rd day of August, 2011, at 7:00 o’clock p.m. at the Loyalsock Township Building, 2501 E. Third Street, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, will conduct a public hearing and consider the adoption of an ordinance adding to and amending Chapter 215, Zoning Section of the Loyalsock Township Codification of Ordinances. The ordinance to be considered is as follows: ORDINANCE No. 343 Section 1. Add definitions concerning gas and oil development to Section 2015-7 B. Section 2. Replace the definition of Extractive Operations in Section 2015-7 B. Section 3. Add the following new sections to Subsection 215-12 E, Utilities and Vital Services; (2) Gas and oil operations are to be developed as follows: (a) Compressor Stations, Processing Plants and Metering Stations subject to certain specifications. (b) Oil and gas staging facilities shall be subject to certain specifications. (c) Water storage facilities shall be subject to certain specifications. (d) Oil and gas development shall be subject to certain specifications. Section 4. Add compressor stations/processing plants as a permitted use in the industrial zoning district and as conditional uses in the Agricultural – Rural Residential and Residential Urban zoning districts. Section 5. Add Metering Stations as a permitted use in the Agricultural – Rural Residential district and as conditional uses in the Residential Urban and Industrial districts. Section 6. Add Oil and Gas Staging Facilities as a permitted use in the Industrial District and a conditional use in the Agricultural – Rural Residential and Industrial districts. Section 7. Add Water Storage Facilities as a conditional use in the Agricultural – Rural Residential and Industrial districts. Section 8. Add Oil and Gas Development as a permitted use in the Agricultural – Rural Residential and Residential – Urban districts. Section 9. Add the above uses to the Use Attachment I of the zoning section of the Codification of Ordinances. Section 10. Set the effective date of this ordinance as being the date of the adoption of the ordinance. A copy of the said Ordinance is on file at the Township Building, 2501 E.
