The Assembly is holding a special hearing to hear from the public on the revised fracking study.
The Assembly Standing Committee on Environmental Conservations is holding the public hearing on Thursday, October 6th to get public input on the revised draft Supplemental Generic Environmental Impact Statement (dSGEIS) on horizontal drilling and high-volume hydraulic fracturing in the Marcellus shale in New York State.
The revised study was released by the New York Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) for public comment on September 7th and they will be collecting comments for 96 days ending on December 12th. (DEC public hearings are anticipated for November)
