Native Tribes, 350.org, and the Local Community Band Together May 5th Rally Bridges Cultures to Protect Water from Gas Fracking The Ramapough/Lenape Indian Nation is calling on everyone of conscience to join a rally on their Ceremonial Land in Mahwah, New Jersey on Saturday, the 5th of May, 2012 at 12:00 noon (rain date Sunday the 6th of May) to speak out for the protection of Native traditions and for the healing of the Earth.

The Ramapough Nation is expecting attendance of citizens representing a range of diverse cultural and spiritual traditions, including members of the local community, native peoples, environmental groups, and residents of the Greater Metropolitan New York area. Speakers include the environmental author Sandra Steingraber, author and musician Evan Pritchard (MicMac), Professor Airy Dixon (Saponi), Chief Vincent Mann (Ramapough), Dean Hutchins (Cherokee)
