Eco-Terrorists Release Film Detailing “How to Blow Up a Pipeline”

It’s not often we’re rendered speechless, but this is one of those times. To say we are incensed, that we are deeply concerned, outraged, etc. doesn’t begin to cover it. Last Friday, the film “How to Blow Up a Pipeline,” a screen adaption of Eco-Marxist Andreas Malm’s book of the same title, was released. The film, which is a fictional story, justifies eco-terrorism. It encourages people to become terrorists and blow up fossil fuel pipelines.

Fed Jury Convicts Former OH House Speaker in Nuclear Bribe Scandal

Here’s the sad end of a sad chapter in Ohio’s history–a conclusion (of sorts) to the largest bribery scandal in the state’s history. We’re referring to Ohio House Bill (HB) 6, a law granting billions (plural) of dollars to FirstEnergy to prop up the company’s economically failing nuclear power plants. FirstEnergy bribed state legislators to pass, and keep passed, HB 6 by paying out $61 million to a small group of insiders, including former Speaker of the House, Larry Householder (see FirstEnergy Involved in Bribery Scheme to Pass $1B Nuke Bailout Law).

Fake Bomb Found at NatGas Transmission Facility in SWPA

Last week a “suspicious item” was found at a natural gas transmission facility in Fallowfield Township in Washington County, PA. It looked like a bomb, an “improvised homemade” device, and was placed into the door of an industrial pipe at the Eastern Gas Transmission facility. The PA State Police and FBI responded to investigate. They later determined it was not explosive, and they removed it. But it certainly looked like it was explosive (i.e. a bomb), which is why they responded.

Brainwashed “Just Stop Oil” Kids Try to Deface Van Gogh Painting

This is how deeply global warming brainwashing has gone in our children. A couple of kids (judging from media pictures) who belong to a fringe group called Just Stop Oil want to influence the British government to stop ALL new oil and natural gas projects–onshore and offshore. The tactic chosen by the kids to convince the adults to stop all new drilling was to throw tomato soup on a priceless Vincent van Gogh painting called “Sunflowers” in London’s National Gallery last Friday.

Three Protesters Convicted of Blocking MVP with Giant Wooden Duck

click for larger version

What is it about the anti-fossil fuel left that attracts oddballs to their cause? Particularly pipeline protesters, who tend to engage in theatrics and (frankly) make silly asses of themselves. The protesters certainly don’t channel the gravitas and command respect of someone like Gandhi. They’re more like Mr. Bean or the Three Stooges–just not as funny. In June 2021, four protesters erected a large wooden duck structure in the path of the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) in Giles County, Virginia. The fools connected themselves with pipe (called a “sleeping dragon”) that caused police officers to spend around seven hours to get them unconnected. Three of the four were just convicted of trespassing and given suspended jail sentences. All three were from out-of-state (i.e. Big Green paid protesters).

Climate Protesters Paid $25,000 per Year by Oil Fortune Heirs

click for larger version

A blow-the-doors-off expose is confirming what we’ve always known, that rich trust-funders who haven’t done a day’s worth of work in their lives are paying protesters to get violent and break the law, all in the name of man-made global warming. Aileen Getty, Rebecca Rockefeller Lambert, and Peter Gill Case, all members of former oil barons, admit they pay protesters roughly $25,000 per year to engage in illegal acts to slow or stop fossil energy.

19 State AGs Turn Up the Heat on Anti-Fossil Fuel BlackRock

BlackRock Inc., the world’s largest investment firm with $10 trillion in assets under management, is beginning to feel the heat of its anti-fossil fuel strategy. BlackRock is, without question, anti-fossil fuel energy. Yet the company and its representatives object when being outed as what they are, claiming they still love love love oil and gas companies. It’s not true. BlackRock pressures investors and investment funds to divest from fossil energy companies on the premise those companies are harming the planet. BlackRock itself is now being “harmed” by states like West Virginia, which has decided to end doing business with the company (see WV Ends Business with 5 Banks Guilty of Boycotting Fossil Fuels). Other states are in line to cut the tie too, including Texas and Oklahoma.

Troopers Investigate Theft of Copper from Coterra Well Pad in NEPA

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the vandalism and theft of copper from a Coterra Energy well pad on Stockholm Road in Rush Township in Susquehanna County, PA, sometime between July 8 and 14. The case appears to be your garden-variety case of lowlifes stealing copper to resell it (a “crime of opportunity”), and not some sort of statement by environmental wackos. But, one never knows with wackos…

PA AG Shapiro Charges ECA/Greylock with Environmental Crimes

In early 2018, the Pennsylvania Dept. of Environmental Protection (DEP) collected a whopping $1.7 million fine from Energy Corporation of America (ECA) for violations at 17 well sites in Cumberland, Jefferson, and Whiteley Townships in Greene County, and Goshen Township in Clearfield County (see Energy Corp of America Fined $1.7M for Drilling Violations in PA). ECA’s violations? “Failure to properly contains fluids in onsite pits, unauthorized discharge of industrial waste into groundwater, unauthorized disposal of residual waste, failure to restore the pits and well sites, and operating solid waste storage, treatment, and transfer facilities without permits.” Now, more than four years later, PA Attorney General Josh Shapiro (running for governor with a need to keep his radical base stoked) has indicted ECA and Greylock Energy (which purchased ECA’s assets in 2017) with so-called environmental crimes for the same long-resolved issue. Greylock “strongly disputes” the way Shapiro is characterizing the company and its role in this matter.

How O&G Royalties/Mineral Rights Co. Committed $40M Fraud

We don’t normally recommend books to read–especially those we haven’t read yet ourselves. Today we’re making an exception. Last week we received an email about a new book published on Amazon by Chris Bentley, the former President and CEO of Bellatorum Resources, an investment management firm that formerly specialized in Texas oil and gas royalties and mineral rights. Bentley recently published a book called Burning Bellatorum: The Story of a Forty Million Dollar Fraud and its Priceless Lessons for Investors and Entrepreneurs, detailing the $40 million fraud he committed while running his company. Since there are a number of companies that buy royalties and mineral rights in our region, we thought this information might be of interest to MDN readers.

Mariner East Pipeline Protesters “Put First Responders at Risk”

Mariner East 2 Pipeline protesters illegally block work

In a new column on the City & State – Pennsylvania magazine website, Bruce Castor unloads on “unruly protesters” who, by their actions, endanger the lives of first responders called out to rescue them when they go too far in attempting to block the Mariner East pipeline project. Castor calls on these dunderheads to “fully educate themselves on pipeline safety” and reconsider engaging in illegal protests against ME2. Who is Castor? Bruce L. Castor Jr. was appointed as the first solicitor general of Pennsylvania in 2016 and served as acting attorney general later that year. He has also served as district attorney and county commissioner in Montgomery County, PA. He is a heavyweight in the PA legal community.

Extremists Illegally Block ME2 Pipe Construction in Chester County

Better Path Coalition Protesters in Chester County, PA

Once again the left shows its true colors. When they can’t win by launching multiple, frivolous lawsuits, when they can’t win by pressuring weak politicians, and when they can’t win by parading around in front of leftwing “mainstream” media behaving like silly arses, the left reverts to engaging in criminal activity. A couple of protesters illegally blocked work on the recently resumed project to finish up the Mariner East 2 pipeline in the Marsh Creek Lake area. The two locked themselves together into the bucket of a backhoe early Thursday morning, cheered on by ten others.

Some Anti-Fossil Fuel Zealots Urge Followers to Acts of Violence

An issue we’ve written about over the years is the problem of some (certainly not all) so-called climate activists (those who believe in man-made global warming) tipping over from being boisterous and loud and making silly asses of themselves into something more: becoming violent. Thankfully such violent/terroristic episodes have been few and far between. But something is changing. Some leaders of the modern environmental left are beginning to advocate for violence–like blowing up pipelines. They justify their calls for terrorism as somehow heroic or necessary to save the planet.

Facebook Refuses to Comply with MVP Subpoena to Unmask Anti Group

In August, Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP, owned by Equitrans Midstream) filed a subpoena in federal court to find out who recklessly promoted a meeting of a group of anti-pipeline zealots, encouraging them to gather close to (50 feet from) explosives being used to blast through rock to install MVP, putting themselves and workers in harm’s way and causing delays to pipeline construction (see MVP Seeks to Unmask Those Behind Anti-Pipe Facebook Group). The zealots used a Facebook group to do the organizing of their illegal activities. MVP asked Facebook to unmask and reveal the anonymous lawbreakers who set up the group. So far, Facebook has refused.

PA Construction Co. Glenn Hawbaker Pays $20M for “Stolen Wages”

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., long known for providing stone quarries and asphalt plants in Pennsylvania and Ohio, also provides civil construction services for shale well sites. In early August Pennsylvania’s Attorney General Josh Shapiro, an anti-drilling partisan hack, announced a plea deal with Hawbaker to pay back $20 million in alleged “stolen wages” from over 1,000 Hawbaker employees. After the plea deal, the Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation (PennDOT) moved to deny any new construction contracts to Hawbaker for the next three years–contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

PA AG Uses Stories of Minor Accidents to Indict ET for Pipe Crimes

Last week we told you about the uber-sleazy Attorney General in Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, handing down an indictment with 48 counts against Energy Transfer over (mostly) drilling mud spills–accidents that were previously addressed and handled by the state Dept. of Environmental Protection (see Corrupt PA AG Shapiro Charges Mariner East 2 Pipe with 48 Crimes). Shapiro is using the case to promote himself in his run for governor. What a sleaze. The worst part is the collusion by the media in picking out isolated sob stories to pretend there’s been a pattern of misbehavior on the part of ET.
