Chesapeake Energy Repairing 14 Roadways in Northeastern PA This Summer

In a press release issued yesterday, Chesapeake Energy announced it is working on 14 different roadway repair projects in Bradford and Sullivan Counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania due to be completed this summer.

Chesapeake Energy Corporation announced the following ongoing and upcoming roadwork projects in Bradford and Sullivan counties to improve regional transportation infrastructure.

These projects are part of Chesapeake’s ongoing commitment to responsible development of the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania. Chesapeake has invested more than $144 million since 2009 repairing and rebuilding road infrastructure in northern Pennsylvania.

BRADFORD COUNTY:

SR1022  (Ghent Hill Road) phase one, 3.4 miles – From the Ulster bridge to north Rome in Sheshequin and Rome townships. Begun on April 11, the project is expected to be substantially complete by early June.

SR1029 (MacAfee Road, Lake  Road), 11.1 miles – From SR1056 to Lake Wesauking in Litchfield, Sheshequin, Rome and Wysox townships. Begun on April 22, the project is expected to be substantially complete by late June.

SR4012 (Laurel Hill Road), 5.4 miles – From SR4014 in Milan to SR4014 in East Smithfield in Ulster and Smithfield townships. Begun on May 3, the project is expected to be substantially complete by early June.

SR2010 (Wyalusing to New Albany Road), 4.2 miles – From the Wyalusing bridge toward New Albany in Terry Township. Begun on May 3, the project is expected to be substantially complete by mid-June.

SR1033 (Laning Creek Road), 4.5 miles – From Route 6 to SR1041 in Wysox and Sheshequin townships. Scheduled to begin soon.

SR1035 (Banner Road), 3.0 miles – From SR1033 to SR1041 in Wysox and Sheshequin townships. Scheduled to begin soon.

SR1041 (Ghent Road), 6.5 miles – From just beyond the James Street Bridge north to SR1022 in Sheshequin Township. Scheduled to begin in late May and be complete by mid-July.

SR2024 (Airport Road), 8.2 miles – From near the Towanda Airport entrance to Route 187 in Durrell in Towanda, Monroe and Asylum townships. Scheduled to begin in late May and be complete by mid-July.

SR1022 (Center Valley Road) phase two, 5.0 miles – From North Rome to Route 187 in Rome Township. Scheduled to begin once phase one is complete.

Route 514 (Granville Road) 10.6 miles – From Route 414 in West Franklin to Route 14 south of Troy in Granville Township. Scheduled to be completed this summer.

SR3005 (East Canton Road) 0.6 mile – From Route 414 to SR3008 (Southside Road) in Canton Township. Scheduled to begin soon and be complete by mid-June.

SR1056 (Cotton Hollow Road), 10.6 miles – East of SR1029 (MacAfee Road) to Route 187 in Windham Center in Litchfield and Windham townships. Scheduled to be completed this summer.

SULLIVAN COUNTY:

SR4016 (Dushore to Overton Road), 6 miles – From SR4007/4011 in Elkland Township to SR4013 in Forks Township. Begun on April 20, the project should be substantially complete by mid-June.

SR4013, 4.5 miles; SR4015, 1.5 miles; SR4017 (Taylor Hill Road), 4.2 miles – To be completed consecutively; all are in Forks Township. Scheduled to begin by the end of May and be substantially complete by mid-July.
