MDN Editor Jim Willis recently attended a landowner coalition meeting in the Binghamton, NY area. The guest speaker was John Hanger, former Secretary of the PA Dept. of Environmental Protection. John spoke on the truth about gas drilling and took a cold, hard look at America’s energy choices, and how shale gas stacks up against the alternatives. It was an excellent presentation, filled with details from the man who helped guide his department, responsible for regulating oil and gas drilling in Pennsylvania, through its most extensive and rapid growth in several generations.
Jim asked John if he would “do it again” for a larger audience–the MDN audience. And he agreed. So Thursday evening, July 12 at 7 pm, John will make the same presentation. But this time YOU can hear it–live. And YOU can ask him questions via a text chat box. When was the last time you got to ask one of this country’s preeminent energy experts a question? And not even leave home to do it!
What’s the Catch?
Hey, there’s always a catch, right? This webinar is 100% FREE. However, you must sign up and you must be one of the first 500 to log in to attend on July 12. You do NOT need to be a subscriber to the Marcellus Drilling News website–but if you do subscribe, you’ll be able to replay a recorded version of the webinar.
Answering Tough Questions
John loves to tackle the tough questions. During his presentation, you’ll hear him answer questions like:
- How does natural gas in general, and shale gas in particular, stack up against America’s other major energy choices?
- Is fracking safe? Does fracking pollute groundwater?
- Do renewable energy sources stand a chance against fossil fuels?
- Just how much longer will the U.S. be dependent on fossil fuels?
Get the straight answers on these and many more issues. Just follow the link to register–enter your name & email address, and that’s it. Turn up a little early and enjoy the show. Popcorn optional. 😉
Oh, and Jim Willis, editor of Marcellus Drilling News, will be the moderator.
