Enverus Rig Count @ 674 (+15); Marcellus @ 33 (+0), Utica @ 13 (+0)

It's been over a month since S&P Global Platts published a weekly article tabulating and commenting on the Enverus rig count. S&P covered it once again yesterday. We like Enverus' rig count over Baker Hughes' count because Enverus does a better job of tracking active rigs. The last time we reported on the Enverus rig count was October 1 when it stood at 640. As of Wednesday, the Enverus count was 674, a huge increase of 34 in just a month! On October 1 the M-U combined count was 44 rigs; as of Wednesday, the count stood at 47 rigs, an increase of 3 over the past month. Hey, we'll take it.
