White is the Newest Color to Join the Rainbow of Hydrogen Colors
Hydrogen energy is closely tied to natural gas. Currently, 95% of all hydrogen produced in the world is produced by cracking methane (natural gas). The so-called regional hydrogen hubs being dangled by the Bidenistas (up to $1 billion of government financing for 6-10 projects) can potentially launch expanded demand for natural gas in the Marcellus/Utica (see 33 of 79 Hydrogen Hub Teams Encouraged to Submit Full Applications). But not all hydrogen is produced from natural gas, and the left is pushing hard to force production from sources other than natural gas. A rainbow of colors is used to denote the source of how hydrogen is produced. We have a new color to add to the rainbow: white.
