Chad Zamarin, new CEO at Williams
Yesterday, we reported the exciting news from Williams' second quarter update that the company predicts New York State will issue a water permit for the now-resurrected Northeast Supply Enhancement (NESE) pipeline project in the next few months (see Williams Expects NY Water Permit for NESE Pipeline This Fall). In July, Williams transitioned its CEO from Alan Armstrong (now Executive Chairman) to Chad Zamarin. Yesterday's 2Q update was Zamarin's first time at the helm. Zamarin told analysts during the earnings call, and the media after, that the world is quickly recognizing that natural gas is the backbone of reliable, affordable, and cleaner energy.
