Crowley's American Energy, the first U.S. LNG carrier to transport U.S.-sourced natural gas to Puerto Rico.
On Wednesday, the Governor of Puerto Rico, Jenniffer González-Colón, along with Crowley officials, celebrated the first official shipment of LNG from the U.S. Gulf Coast via Crowley's Jones Act-compliant LNG carrier named American Energy. In March, MDN shared the news that Crowley had commissioned the first Jones Act-compliant LNG carrier that can shuttle LNG between U.S. ports and P.R. (see Crowley Launches 1st U.S. Jones Act LNG Carrier to Serve Puerto Rico). On Wednesday, American Energy arrived at an LNG regasification facility in Peñuelas.
