Venture Global Makes FID to Build Massive Calcasieu Pass 2 LNG

In June, MDN told you that Venture Global (VG) had begun construction on the Calcasieu Pass 2 (CP2) LNG export facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana (see Venture Global Begins Construction Work at CP2 LNG in Louisiana). This is the third LNG facility VG will have built. Upon completion, it will propel VG to be the largest LNG exporter in the United States and the second largest in the world. Yesterday, VG announced it had officially pulled the trigger on a final investment decision (FID) to build CP2. That's a good thing since construction is already happening!
