FERC Decision Coming Weds. to Make PJM Data Centers Easier to Build

Earlier this year, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and PJM Interconnection, the country’s largest electric grid operator (covering PA, WV, and OH, among other states), began to grapple with the issue of co-locating power plants with data centers (see FERC, PJM Showdown re Co-Locating Data Centers at Power Plants). FERC watchers predict that the agency will allow PJM to move forward this week with at least some of its plans to enable the co-location of data centers.
