PJM Rejects Waiver to Make Changes in OH $2B Gas-Fired Power Plant

| | | |
Chestnut Run Energy plans to construct a $2 billion natural gas-powered electric power plant in Carroll County, Ohio, capable of powering up to 900,000 homes (see Chestnut Run Energy to Build 1.3 GW Power Plant in Carroll County). The 30-acre facility, located near the existing Carroll County Energy plant, will utilize state-of-the-art gas turbines and combined-cycle technology. It was accepted into the grid manager PJM's "fast track" review program. But there's a problem that threatens to bump it out of the fast lane and into the slow review lane.
