Pieridae’s Goldboro LNG Wants to Use Some Imported M-U Gas
Just a few days ago, we told you that Pieridae Energy was scaling back the scope of its planned Goldboro LNG export plant project in Nova Scotia, Canada (see Pieridae’s Goldboro LNG Cancels Plan to Use Western Canada NatGas). The company no longer seeks to pipeline natural gas from Western Canada to the site, but instead is hoping (placing a big bet) on the neighboring province of New Brunswick to lift a fracking ban and begin allowing domestic production of natgas. What we didn't know at the time is that Pieridae also wants a backup, a second source (Marcellus/Utica gas) to use "during certain times of the year."
