Among the many news items from this week's CERAWeek by S&P conference in Houston were statements made by pipeline giant Williams CEO Alan Armstrong that should put to bed any concerns over Trump's tariff "trade wars." Armstrong said Williams spends about twice as much on permitting costs as buying steel pipelines for its projects. He said he would be "glad" to pay a 25% tariff on steel pipes "as long as we can get our permits done."
