Members of the Homer City Redevelopment (HCR) Group hosted an open house last night at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex in Indiana, PA, to present plans for a $10 billion, 3,200-acre, natural gas power plant and data center facility in Indiana County, PA. The open house came on the heels of a huge announcement that the HCR facility will source all of the natural gas it needs to operate a 4.4 (or 4.5, depending on the source) gigawatt gas-fired facility from EQT Corporation (see Homer City Power Pledges to Buy $15 Billion of PA NatGas from EQT). The HCR project will be the largest gas-fired power plant in the U.S.
