Pitt/Duquesne Study Links EQT Frac-Out to Water Contamination
Recently, two neighboring towns in Greene County, PA, declared a Disaster Emergency related to a “frac-out” at the EQT Lumber well that happened three years ago, in July 2022 (see Freeport Twp (PA) Declares Disaster Emergency re EQT Frac-Out and Second PA Town Declares Disaster Emergency re EQT Frac-Out). Both towns, Freeport and Springhill, claim that they have residents whose water wells were contaminated (and therefore undrinkable) following the EQT frac-out event in 2022.
