Only 30% of U.S. Solar, 57% Wind Projects Expected to Survive

According to a new report from Enverus and its research division, only 30% of solar and 57% of onshore wind projects are likely to survive the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) recently signed into law by President Trump (see Trump Signs One Big Beautiful Bill – Impacts for O&G Industry). Only the projects that don't rely on taxpayer subsidies (tax credits) will make it, says Enverus. The researchers also have a few tips that unreliable renewables "can't afford to ignore."
