VRP completion
TC Energy's Virginia Reliability Project (VRP) in the Hampton Roads region (Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Newport News area) will soon be in service, with first natural gas deliveries expected in November. The project replaced 49 miles of existing pipelines with new, larger-diameter pipe and added two new compressor units. Construction started in the second quarter of 2024 and was completed with the final ceremonial weld last week. The targeted in-service date is November 1, 2025. It looks like they'll make it.
