Trump EPA Proposes Common Sense Definition for Waters of the U.S.

Finally! For years, going back to the administration of Lord Obama, the radical left has tried to redefine the "waters of the United States" (WOTUS). See our extensive list of posts covering the WOTUS issue and how President Obama and later President Autopen tried to butcher the meaning of WOTUS to include everything down to mud puddles. On Monday, the Trump EPA and the Army Corps of Engineers announced a proposed new rule to establish a clear and durable definition of WOTUS under the Clean Water Act. The proposal, unveiled by EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works Adam Telle, aims to protect water resources while accelerating economic growth by providing regulatory certainty for farmers, landowners, and businesses. WOTUS has a significant impact on the oil and gas industry. In typical fashion, the enviro-left is stroking out about the change, claiming it will lead to the pollution of everything.
