22 AGs Tell Bidenistas Can’t Require GHG Info from Contractors

    February 16, 2023February 16, 2023

Here’s a scary reality: The U.S. federal government is the world’s single largest purchaser of goods and services. Federal contractors employ over one-fifth of the labor force in the U.S., and contribute billions of dollars to state economies. Knowing this, the Bidenistas are attempting to coopt the government’s purchasing power as a back-door way to implement Biden’s anti-fossil fuel agenda. The Bidenistas are pushing the Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council (FARC) to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to require federal contractors to disclose their so-called greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) and to set targets to reduce them. The Attorneys General of 22 states are pushing back–hard–against this blatantly illegal plan.

Poll Shows WV Gov. Jim Justice Would Beat Joe Manchin for Senate

    February 16, 2023February 16, 2023
    WV Gov. Jim Justice

U.S. Senator Joe Manchin, from West Virginia, has a big problem if he decides to run again for his seat in 2024. His problem is that in a head-to-head matchup with current Gov. Jim Justice, Manchin loses by 10 points. West Virginia residents have not forgiven Manchin for his sellout in voting for the Green New Deal bill, renamed to the Inflation Reduction Act (see Tragedy: Joe Manchin Caves & Agrees to Big Green Build Back Better). Gov. Justice has dropped hints that he may seek Manchin’s seat in two years. Justice is not the only WV politician with an eye on dethroning Manchin.

O&G Investment Must Increase 28% by 2030 to Avoid World Shortage

    February 16, 2023February 16, 2023

According to a new report published by the International Energy Forum (IEF) and S&P Global Commodity Insights, annual upstream oil and gas investment needs to rise by 28% to reach $640 billion by 2030 to ensure adequate global supplies. If it doesn’t, the world will see shortages. The Saudi Arabia-based IEF says a cumulative $4.9 trillion (!) will be needed from now until 2030 to meet market needs, even if the growth in oil and gas demand slows down.

Report Shows Restricting U.S. O&G Leads to Worse Environment

    February 16, 2023February 16, 2023

The Institute for Energy Research (IER) is a not-for-profit organization that conducts research and analysis on the functions, operations, and government regulation of global energy markets. IER maintains that freely-functioning energy markets provide the most efficient and effective solutions to today’s global energy and environmental challenges and, as such, are critical to the well-being of individuals and society. A new study just published by IER (below) shows how restricting oil and gas development in countries like the U.S. with strict environmental standards pushes O&G development to countries with lower environmental standards. The end result is that the worldwide environment gets worse.

NY Lunacy – Bill Allows Residents to Sue O&G for Global Warming

    February 16, 2023February 16, 2023

We have lamented, on many occasions, that New York State (our beloved home state) has simply gone to Hades. The state is now run by left-wing radicals. When you cross the border into NY, you are entering The Twilight Zone (a pun and nod to the talented Rod Serling, who was born and grew up in Binghamton, NY). Case in point: A radical member of the NY Senate, along with a member of the NY Assembly, have teamed up to introduce a truly frightening bill. Senate Bill S9612, introduced by the wacky Sen. Zellnor Myrie, a Brooklyn Democrat, would allow anyone to sue oil and gas companies claiming damage from mythical (and unproven) “climate change.”

PLUTO Isn’t Just a Planet, It’s a Robot to Repair NatGas Pipes

    February 16, 2023February 16, 2023

General Electric (GE) is a really big company with many different divisions, including divisions that service the oil and gas industry. GE Research, in cooperation with epoxy manufacturer Warren Environmental and engineering services firm Garver, has created a pipeline-fixing robot called PLUTO. Which stands for PipeLine Underground Trenchless Overhaul system. Traditionally when fixing pipelines with cracks or corrosion, a pipeline is dug up, and the affected portion is replaced or repaired. PLUTO whizzes through natural gas pipelines and can both diagnose and fix the problems it encounters. All done from the inside.

Natural Gas was the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl LVII

    February 16, 2023February 16, 2023

Did you watch the Big Game on Sunday? We watched until half-time (routing for the Eagles, because they’re a PA team). However, you have to admit that Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Chiefs, was truly impressive. The Chiefs deserved to win. Mahomes was named the MVP (most valuable player) of the game. We’d like to suggest there was another MVP, the real MVP, of Sunday night’s game in Phoenix, Arizona: natural gas.
