Cash NatGas Price Goes Crazy in Oklahoma – Over $600/MMBtu!

    February 16, 2021February 16, 2021

Supply and demand, that’s what it’s all about in a pure commodity market like natural gas. Supply and demand just about came off the rails last Friday in Oklahoma as the price of natural gas selling along Oneok Gas Transmission’s (OGT) 23 interstate and 20 intrastate pipeline connections entered the stratosphere. At one point the cash price for natgas in OK was fetching $600/MMBtu! No, this is not a joke. That’s the highest price paid for natgas…ever.

Are Some PA Repubs Like Rep. Struzzi Warming Up to Carbon Tax?

    February 16, 2021February 16, 2021

Danger, Will Robinson! One of the leading lights in the Pennsylvania legislature against Democrat Gov. Tom Wolf’s idiotic (and dangerous) carbon tax plan, called RGGI (Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative), has been Republican House Rep. Jim Struzzi (from Indiana County). Struzzi sponsored House Bill (HB) 2025 last year giving PA residents a say in whether or not the state should join RGGI (see PA Senate Passes Bill Giving Legislators Say in RGGI Carbon Tax). Wolf subsequently vetoed the bill because he doesn’t want the general public to have a say.

Delaware Riverkeeper Seeks to Intervene in DRBC Fracking Lawsuit

    February 16, 2021February 16, 2021

THE Delaware Riverkeeper, a radical anti-fossil fuel organization headed by Maya van Rossum who presumes she is the only voice that speaks for the Delaware River, has filed a motion to intervene (i.e. join) a lawsuit filed against the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) by a group of Pennsylvania Republican lawmakers. Riverkeeper accuses PA lawmakers of violating their oath of office with this lawsuit. It’s the opposite. The lawmakers are standing up for the rights of their constituents–land rights stripped away by the DRBC.

WV Sen. Joe Manchin Continues Letter Writing to Biden, Pro NatGas

    February 16, 2021February 16, 2021
    WV Sen. Joe Manchin

Early last week West Virginia U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin sent a “Dear Joe” letter to President Biden expressing his support for both Keystone and MVP (see WV U.S. Senators Strongly Oppose Biden’s Climate Policies, Nominees). In the letter, Manchin asked Biden to reconsider pulling the permit for Keystone XL. He made the point loud and clear that our country must maintain its energy security through pipeline projects like Keystone and Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP). Interestingly, Manchin sent a second letter to Biden on Friday, this one to promote fracking and natural gas infrastructure.

Glick’s FERC Priority: Pipes are Racist & Should be Blocked

    February 16, 2021February 16, 2021
    FERC Chairman Richard Glick

Last Thursday the newly elevated Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Richard “Dick” Glick, told reporters about his priorities for FERC moving forward under radicalized Joe Biden. One of the top priorities is “improving the commission’s approval processes for natural gas infrastructure.” Translation: No new natural gas pipelines. Another priority is to “more aggressively fulfill its [FERC’s] responsibilities to ensure our decisions don’t unfairly impact historically marginalized communities.” Translation: Consider new pipelines that come anywhere close to a majority-black community to be racist and worthy of rejection.

The Pandemic and the End of Oil? New Report Says No

    February 16, 2021February 16, 2021

The so-called peak oil theorists have been positively giddy with excitement over predictions about the death of oil. “Just look at how much oil production demand AND supply has decreased since the outbreak of the pandemic. It’s NEVER coming back!” Those are the kinds of things the peakers tell themselves and anyone else who will listen. Mainstream media laps it up and repeats it. But when real researchers delve into the topic of whether or not oil has reached its zenith, the facts tell a far different story.
