Sierra Club Radicals Oppose Clean NatGas Power in Morgantown, WV
In September Longview Power filed an application with the West Virginia Public Service Commission to build and operate a Marcellus gas-fired electric generating facility in Monongalia County, WV, near Maidsville (see 1200 MW Gas-Fired Power Plant Files to Build in Mon County, WV). The Longview Power Clean Energy Center will include a 1,200 megawatt combined cycle power plant AND a 70 megawatt solar farm–both built next to Longview’s existing state-of-the-art 710 megawatt coal-fired power plant. A real “all of the above” type of facility. The nutters at the Sierra Club want to stop it all.

In what has become an ongoing pattern, THE Delaware Riverkeeper (aka Maya van Rossum) has lost yet another lawsuit (in federal court) against a pipeline project–in this case the Millennium Pipeline expansion project called the Eastern System Upgrade.
New York State is experiencing the worst possible nightmare–and we can’t wake up. Following the November 2018 election, Democrats now control not only the governorship, but also both houses of the legislature–for the first time since 1964. Sure we’ve always had a Democrat-controlled Assembly (the lower chamber), but the Senate stayed in Republican hands, providing a check against rampant socialism. That check and balance disappeared beginning this year and the state’s far-left Democrats have used it to great advantage. Many of our Constitutional freedoms have disappeared *this year* in NY State. It’s sad and tragic. Before the Senate changes back to Republican control in the future, the state’s radicalized Democrats want to pass a permanent (instead of the existing temporary) ban on fracking statewide.
The Heinz Endowments, a grantmaking organization in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that sits under the thumb of Mamma Teresa Heinz Kerry (wacko lefty Democrat), has long been viewed as a community pillar in western Pennsylvania. What you may not know is that Heinz Endowments has spent over $120 million in “environmental grants” between 2008 and 2016, much of that money funding anti-shale and anti-fossil fuel campaigns. The Heinz Endowments is no friend to the working class in western PA.
A leftist anti-fossil group calling itself Protect PT, in Penn Township (Westmoreland County), PA, backed with money from Big Green groups, continues to sue in an effort to block shale drilling in the township. And they keep losing their lawsuits. In November the group lost an appeal of a lower court ruling which challenges a Penn Township ordinance allowing Apex Energy and Huntley & Huntley (now Olympus Energy) to drill and operate wells (see 
The husband and wife team of Mark and Melinda Clatterbuck are at it again–getting themselves arrested for illegal trespass and disorderly conduct at a pipeline site. They previously got themselves arrested in Lancaster County, PA when protesting the Williams Atlantic Sunrise pipeline project (see 
We’re always on the lookout for new and better ways to counter the blizzard of lies and smears against shale energy and fossil fuels coming from Big Green and its empty-headed, regurgitating supporters. Honestly, how can you counter the pile of crap they spread via mainstream media day in and day out? Perhaps our Canadian cousins to the north can show us the way. The Province of Alberta (the official government of Alberta) has opened an “energy war room” to push back against all the lies being spread about fossil fuels–in particular lies about Canadian tar sands from which a great deal of oil is extracted.
The National Whistleblower Center (NWC), a corrupt and partisan (Democrat) nonprofit group, has laughingly launched what it calls a “Climate Corruption Campaign” to “enlist whistleblowers in the fight against fraud and other crimes in the three industry sectors responsible for the vast majority of the world’s carbon pollution: oil and gas, coal, and industrial logging.” What a sick joke.
In what is at least the second (maybe third or fourth) serious attempt, radical Democrats in the New York State legislature have floated a bill that would force NY’s public employee pension fund to completely divest any stock holdings in fossil fuel companies. Are NY retirees ready to take a $1 TRILLION hit in their wallets if it happens?

Some anti fossil-fuel nutters are finally responding to the criticism they don’t eat their own dog food. They don’t practice what they preach. They don’t “walk the walk.” One of the most egregious examples is old, fat Al Gore who jets around the world every other week and maintains a palace he calls a house…and has a carbon footprint (the thing he preaches against) as big as a small city. Now, some “climate scientists” and “researchers” are trying to actually live the low carbon footprint lifestyle they demand the rest of us live–and they’re finding out they don’t much like it.
