PA Senators Sue DRBC for “Taking” Property re Frack Ban

    January 12, 2021February 15, 2021

In a brilliant move aimed at boxing in the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC), two northeastern Pennsylvania State Senators–Gene Yaw and Lisa Baker–along with members of the PA Senate Republican Caucus, filed a lawsuit yesterday against the DRBC, accusing the quasi-governmental agency of “taking” the property rights of PA residents without just compensation under the law.

Oil & Gas Investor magazine recently sat down with Toby Rice, CEO of EQT Corporation, to discuss his (and his brother Derek’s) successful takeover of the company in July 2019. The lengthy article begins this way: “A year and a half after leading a mutiny of shareholders to take control of the nation’s largest natural gas producer, CEO Toby Rice is proud to reveal the completed remodel. And it’s even better than promised.”

Although Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP), a 303-mile greenfield pipeline from Wetzel County, WV to Pittsylvania County, VA (92% completed) is currently mired in delays due to a lawsuit by the Sierra Club and colluding Democrat judges on the 4th Circuit Court, MVP is not letting the situation slow them down with respect to extending MVP into North Carolina.

Despite COVID-19, Northeast Industrial Gas Demand Grows in Jan.

    January 12, 2021January 12, 2021

If you recall, the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic wasn’t really “a thing” (here in the U.S.) until mid-March 2020. That’s when all hell broke loose and the country shut down. Prior to that, natural gas demand was steadily rising and hitting all-time highs (see Rover, NEXUS NatGas Exports to Canada Currently “Maxed Out”). Guess what? Demand is back, at least in the industrial (i.e. factories) sector. Industrial gas demand is now *higher* nationally and in the northeast, than it was a year ago, prior to the pandemic!

    January 12, 2021January 12, 2021

The 105th Pennsylvania Farm Show kicked off on Saturday, Jan. 9 and runs through this Saturday, Jan. 16. Sadly, this year the farm show is all virtual due to the coronavirus. In honor of this year’s Farm Show, the Marcellus Shale Coalition published a post on their blog site chronicling how the Marcellus Shale industry has benefited (continues to benefit) thousands of PA farmers.

Here’s Why Natural Gas Heating is NOT Going Away Anytime Soon

    January 12, 2021January 12, 2021

Not a day that goes by without a story in Big Media announcing another municipality has passed (or is considering passing) a law/regulation prohibiting new homes and businesses from using natural gas for heating, cooking, etc. The proffered solution by these foolish dunderheads is that new structures must use electric for heat. Eventually (like here in New York by 2050), not only new structures but existing homes and businesses will have to convert to all-electric too (see New York Residents Must Dump Oil & Gas Furnaces by 2050). Except, that’s all a fiction.
