PA Prof Says O&G Cos, Deniers Guilty of “Crimes Against Humanity”
If you send your kids to Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA) and they take political science classes, you might want to consider another school. One of their professors has just penned what is one of the most outrageous op-eds we’ve ever read. He claims those who operate “fossil fuel” companies–oil and gas companies–and those (of us) who “deny” that there is such as thing as catastrophic man-made global warming caused by burning fossil fuels, are guilty of “crimes against humanity.”

It’s time for the oil and gas industry (i.e. fossil fuels) to begin fighting for our right to exist. Irrational fossil fuel haters like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren utter the most outrageous lies and pledge to ban fracking nationwide. It’s now time to go on offense–to respond and set the record straight. It’s time to tell the truth about fossil fuels and the vital role they play now, and will play for years to come. A newly-formed group called The Empowerment Alliance (TEA) is doing just that.
The radical environmental left continues a campaign to deny construction of new pipelines–ANY new oil and gas pipelines–as their way of strangling the use of fossil fuels. Here’s the latest example: Environmentalist wackos at the Bernheim Arboretum (about 25 miles from Louisville, Kentucky) have refused to grant an easement for 4,000 feet of land they bought *after* the Louisville Gas and Electric Company (LG&E) already had a state-approved plan to build a new pipeline over that land as part of tiny 12-inch, 12-mile pipeline. The Arboretum’s refusal, along with a few other property owners, means 62 homes and businesses have been denied the right to connect to LG&E’s natgas local utility system.
The voters in Youngstown have finally, after seven years, had enough of the the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF) and its useful idiots who have tried, and failed, to get a so-called Community Bill of Rights ballot measure (i.e. frack ban) passed. Last November Youngstown voters rejected the CELDF measure for the eighth time (see
The Sierra Club, along with some lesser-known but equally radical enviro groups, filed a court challenge to an air quality permit granted by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for the PTT Global Chemical ethane cracker plant project in Belmont County, OH back in January (see
Tens of thousands of high school students in cities across the U.S. are skipping classes today to attend so-called Global Climate Strike marches. The brainwashed kids are “calling for immediate action to end climate change.” They will be part of a global joint protest, arranged by Big Green groups, purportedly aimed at adults who they say are ignoring the “destruction of the planet.” We suspect some of the kids will take advantage of the day off to go vape somewhere and maybe get a little nookie. Whoops! Did we say that with our out-loud mouth?
The radical Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) published a “report” (i.e. propaganda) in 2017 that made the preposterous claim that New England customers have overpaid utility bills by $3.6 billion due to collusion between the natural gas and electricity industries (see
We’ve written plenty about President Obama’s so-called Clean Power Plan (CPP), a plan to force electric generators to convert to using more “renewable” sources of energy and less fossil fuels (see

What appears to be an organized, ongoing effort to stop legal construction activity for the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) continues in both Virginia and West Virginia. Out-of-state (paid) protesters chain themselves to equipment and block roads in a “death by a thousand cuts” approach to prevent the completion of the 85% completed MVP project. Is it time to bring racketeering charges against the groups and people behind these activities? We think it is.
Last week CNN inflicted a seven-hour “town hall” discussion with Democrat presidential candidates about so-called climate change (man-made global warming) on its handful of viewers. Fox News’ Tucker Carlson called it an
