Joe Biden and the Democrat Party have turned what was a surviving, even thriving economy into a wasteland by pushing trillion-dollar spending bills, banning pipelines, banning new oil drilling on federal lands, and pressuring banks to deny lending to fossil fuel companies. The result is and (if you read MDN) was predicted: soaring energy prices and an economy teetering on the verge of collapse. Now that the Democrats ‘ failed governance has led to inflation through the roof and economic chaos, they are doing what politicians (of either party) always do: try to blame someone else. Yesterday Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP), a subsidiary of Kinder Morgan, filed a proposal with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to implement a “responsibly sourced natural gas (RSG) supply aggregation pooling service” at select locations across the TGP system. Translation: Utilities and other buyers will be able to buy RSG certified natural gas for their customers, costing them more money.
In the wacky world of leftists, all money earned by private companies belongs to the state, and the state beneficently allows a company to keep some of that money to pay employees and shareholders. That’s the attitude of the far left, anti-drilling group Policy Matters Ohio (PMO), which doesn’t like the current oil and gas severance tax of 2.5% in Ohio. It’s not nearly high enough to fund leftist programs, according to PMO.
