For years the left has not been able to win debates, nor win the hearts and minds of citizens, because there are conservatives willing to stand up and air an opposing view. The conservative view often makes the most sense. And so conservatives win arguments and win the support of a majority of citizens by using sound and rational reasoning. The left simply cannot compete with common sense. How does the left combat the situation? By demanding an end to free speech. In the same way the left labels some people as racists in order to shut them up and stop any debate, the left now insists that anyone with a viewpoint they don’t hold is spreading “disinformation” and is “dangerous” and must be stopped. It is most noticeable in the debate over global warming. If you say anything other than the accepted leftist meme that mankind is destroying the earth by burning fossil fuels, you are spreading disinformation and are a danger to society. Free speech is very close to dying in this country–because of the left.

Princeton University’s endowment, the fourth largest in the U.S., is bowing to cancel culture and is going to divest any holdings it has in some (but not all) fossil energy companies, including Exxon Mobil and Suncor Energy. In August, Jennifer Granholm, hands down the most incompetent Secretary of Energy ever to hold the office, sent a letter to seven major refinery companies threatening them that if they don’t scale back exports of gasoline, diesel, and other liquid petroleum products, Granholm will have old dementia Joe whip up an executive order slapping a ban on such exports (see 
Some 225 hypocritical nutters were whipped into a frenzy by Big Green and its so-called Beyond Plastics campaign during a Zoom call Tuesday night to “prepare” for the startup of Shell’s mighty ethane cracker plant in Monaca, PA. It was really quite hilarious. There was talk of nurdle patrols, “sacrifice zones,” and celebrations over defeating Joe Manchin’s permitting reform bill. Why hypocritical? Because every single person on the call was using a computer or phone made out of (wait for it)….plastics. The clothes on their bodies and shoes on their feet are made largely from plastics. The cars and boats and paraphernalia they use to hunt down evidence of environmental plastics pollution from the cracker plant–all made from plastics. We wonder, Do they know how stupid they look?
A small group of landowners in southwestern Virginia who have lost all of their previous attempts to block Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) from crossing their property have made one last-ditch effort to fundamentally change the laws of the entire country to prevent this one pipeline. The landowners, obviously using Big Green money, have appealed their losing case to the U.S. Supreme Court, asking the high court to hear their case against FERC’s (the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) right to delegate its eminent domain power to a private pipeline company–in this case to MVP.
An opinion column appearing in (of all places) Newsweek, a profoundly liberal publication, appears under the headline, “Environmentalism Is a Fundamentalist Religion.” That sure caught our attention! Written by Joel Kotkin, Presidential Fellow in Urban Futures at Chapman University, the column assumes that man-made global warming is happening (something we do not assume). But even operating with that assumption, Kotkin says what’s needed to combat so-called climate change is a “pragmatic approach based on adapting to real and verifiable dangers.” He goes on to say the left’s “war” against climate change is doomed to make things worse for most people. Kotkin is one of the few on the left who is refreshingly honest!
Pennsylvania State Senator Katie Muth’s attempt to block a proposed frack wastewater treatment plant in Dimock (hours away from her own district) is failing spectacularly. Muth tried to challenge and block a permit for the plant, an effort which was mostly rejected in court back in June (see 
Anti-fossil fuelers at Penn State are trying their hardest to spin the results of a recent study by university researchers to say it shows a link between “elevated levels of chloride in groundwater” and fracking in Pennsylvania. As we read a summary of the study appearing on Penn State News, it was obvious the study proves just the opposite–that THERE IS NO LINK between the two!
A Democrat-led, partisan nonprofit calling itself Energy Future PA was launched yesterday. The anti-drilling former PA Auditor General, Eugene DePasquale (Democrat), is co-chair. The new group is also co-chaired by a RINO (Republican in Name Only)–former State Rep. Marguerite Quinn. Don’t get snookered by the fluffy platitudes from this organization. Make no mistake, Energy Future PA is partisan with a bent against shale energy.
