The left incessantly chatters about a so-called energy transition that’s “already underway” and “arriving any year now.” The transition is from using fossil fuel energy, which has led to the greatest advancements in civilization since we emerged from living in caves, to replacing fossil energy with so-called “renewables” including unreliable wind and solar. It’s pure fantasy that we will dump the use of fossil fuels anytime soon–within the next 100 years. But the lie is spreading nonetheless. How about checking in on how the “transition” is actually going, using real numbers and hard data.

While some Biden officials are bashing the U.S. domestic oil and natural gas industry, blaming them for not drilling more to ease prices, other Biden officials, like the haughty John Kerry, continue to pressure Big Banks to deny funding for oil and gas companies, which prevents them from doing more drilling. Does anyone else see the hypocrisy and contradictions in the actions of the dysfunctional Biden administration?
Hey men (and those who “identify” as men), when was the last time you checked your sperm count? Quick! Check it asap! A new study says a substantial drop in sperm counts and fertility rates over the past 50 years “could be” linked to pollution from the (gasp) burning of fossil fuels. That’s right. Burn those nasty fossil fuels and what do you get? Low sperm counts. So says…The Onion? Comedy Central? Jerry Seinfeld? Nope. So says a “study” published in the journal Nature.
The electrical system that powers the United States is made up of individual power grids that connect with each other. Different regions have their own “grid of grids” (called a regional transmission organization, or RTO) that operates to manage the flow of electricity across the entire grid to ensure reliability. In New England, the grid operator/RTO is ISO New England (ISO standing for Independent System Operator). Gordon van Welie, CEO of ISO New England, recently had some startling and stark words about the reliability for New England’s electric grid: Get ready for rolling blackouts.
According to Robert Bradley, Jr. from the Institute for Energy Research (IER), the Biden Administration’s Build Back Better (BBB) plan is at odds with affordable, reliable energy. The so-called “largest effort to combat climate change in American history” is a bribe-and-bully program to systemically substitute inferior energies for consumer-chosen, taxpayer-neutral ones. The Biden plan is an assault on the free market system and doomed to abject failure.

Far-left Democrat and so-called civil rights “leader” Rev. William Barber II “preached” to a crowd of fellow lefties on Saturday. The topic of the reverend’s sermon? The evil, racist Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP). We bet you didn’t know that MVP is “an abusive sin,” did you? Yeah, it’s right there in Revelation. That’s what Rev. Barber told his audience. That evil ole’ snaking pipeline will “harm the poor” and people of color. The rally was arranged ahead of this week’s Virginia State Water Control Board vote (on Tuesday) to allow MVP to cross minor creeks and swamps in the state.
The hypocrisy of Joe Biden and his administration continues. Biden has repeatedly begged Saudi Arabia and OPEC+ to increase oil production, while at the same time shutting down pipeline projects and disallowing new leases and drilling on public lands here at home. He then blames our domestic producers for not ramping up production! Here’s the latest: The Biden administration has *ordered* U.S. government agencies to *immediately* stop financing new “carbon-tensive fossil fuel projects” overseas and instead begin to push unreliable so-called renewable technology, like Chinese-manufactured solar and wind technology.
An issue we’ve written about over the years is the problem of some (certainly not all) so-called climate activists (those who believe in man-made global warming) tipping over from being boisterous and loud and making silly asses of themselves into something more: becoming violent. Thankfully such violent/terroristic episodes have been few and far between. But something is changing. Some leaders of the modern environmental left are beginning to advocate for violence–like blowing up pipelines. They justify their calls for terrorism as somehow heroic or necessary to save the planet.
